Over the last twenty years, I have worked with a number of personal trainers, and I have to say that my current trainer , Jay Perez, is by far my favorite. As a CEO, my schedule hasn't always been conducive to hitting the gym with regular frequency. A few years ago, I found myself changing careers, and after losing my oldest brother to a heart attack, I needed to help my sister-in-law wind down their family business, so time was in limited supply. My trainer at the time also made a career change and was no longer able to train me. Life got busy, and since I was in decent shape, I didn't make time for the gym or my fitness goals.
In 2013, I wanted and needed to get back to my fitness discipline – and like everything that I do in life, I prepared for it by doing my homework. I researched personal trainers and scheduled interviews with five different training professionals. Having worked with trainers in the past, I knew I was looking for someone who was a good fit for me and listened to my objectives. I didn't want bulk – my overall goal was to achieve tone and definition. I had read an article on Evolution Fitness, and I knew I wanted tomeet with them because they seemed to truly listen to their clients and address their individual needs. I'm glad I did – because that's exactly what my trainerJay does. He listens to me and focuses on my needs. When we first met, I was very upfront with him about my fitness goals, and my trainerJay has been very vigilant about helping me pursue and achieve them.
I have been working with my trainer Jay for several months now and am delighted with my decision and with the progress that I’m making. He is a very passionate individual who truly understands the needs of his clients. My Working with Jay makes workouts are enjoyable and fun, . Our workoutsand are always different. I often think my trainerhe is more in tune to how I'm feeling than I am. He is the most conscientious trainer I’ve ever seen and is constantly monitoring my form and technique to reduce the risk of injury. Frankly, until I found Evolution FitnessJay, I've never really experienced that. He works with me on nutrition and recognizes when I've had a rough day and haven't eaten correctly – and in response, he adjusts my routine to maximize my workout.*
In all honesty, I had never really liked working out and considered it to be an additional stress in an already demanding schedule. All that changed when I started training with Evolution FitnessJay. I now look forward to hitting the gym, and there's one reason for that – Jay Perez.
